Jack Johnson | Personal Story | Kitchener Photographer

Music affects my mood. If I listen to The Killers, I feel energized. If I listen to the Sex Pistols, I feel, well, enraged. If I listen to Jack Johnson, I feel relaxed. I would think of summer, road trips, the beach. Hawaii. Oh how I love Maui! I’m getting off tracked here but if you’re getting married in Maui, just pay for my hotel and flight and I will shoot your wedding for free. For sure I will.

Going back to Jack Johnson. I’m a big fan of his. Something about his music just makes me reflect back on the most important things in life. Being with the people you love. And maybe that’s what my husband thought when he bought me Jack’s new CD To The Sea.  You see, I was mad at him earlier this week. He did something that caused me pain...literally. An accidental head butt on the nose was the most horrible sensation I’ve ever felt. Luckily, I didn’t bruise or break my nose. I don’t think Kasia would appreciate a Matron of Honour with  a disfigured face on her wedding day. I’m just left with an inconspicuous swollen bump that I’m hoping would go away sometime soon.

But I guess I have to forgive him. After all, he was sorry. And I love him. So there you go.

I did a similar thing to my fiancée , except it was an accidental elbow to the nose, and she bled, I felt terrible. I'm pretty sure I'm still making up for that one.

I didn't know Jack Johnson had this album out, I'm going to have to check it out.
