I have a confession to make. I don’t have a cell phone. And it has been that way for the past four years since I moved to Kitchener. I wasn’t using it enough to find a reason to pay that much money every month for services I wasn’t using. So whenever I have to go somewhere important, I take my husband’s cell phone instead. He only uses it for emergency so I get to borrow it from time to time. I didn’t need to buy a cell phone really.
Until our internet modem busted on us a couple of weeks ago.
Internet-free? As in no internet at all? Now that was unacceptable.
Fortunately for Bell, they came through their promise and sent us a replacement cord for our modem. Going through withdrawal for a day was enough for me. We got our access back and all is well. But the thought of not being able to check my email, especially client emails, was a scary thought. Well, maybe not scary, scary. More of an inconvenience, I suppose.
That’s when I started thinking, should I get a phone that would let me check my email? I did some research on what kind of phone and what type of plan would work for me. The plans are pretty much the same. Just the phones would be different. And that’s when I became obsessed with the iPhone. I mean, if I were to spend that much money anyway, might as well spend it on the best.
But I’m still torn. A year’s fee of phone plans could buy me another flash. Two years would get me some pretty awesome glass. I like the idea of getting an iPhone but the idea of buying more gears for photography is much more appealing. I’m undecided at the moment.
To finish this post, let me give you a sneak peek on Nadine and Dmitry’s Cambodian wedding held last Saturday in London, Ontario. More of their photos to come soon!
